The International Summer School of Ukrainian Dance is held yearly at The Virsky National Dance Company of Ukraine and The National University of Arts and Culture in Kyiv. We welcome young dance students who have sincere love of dance and strong desire to work on developing their technique and performance abilities.
The Choreography department offers highly qualified and professional training by renowned masters of character and classical dance studios.
The 2012 session will run from August 6-12, and presents a wonderful opportunity to study the following disciplines, under the guidance of Ukraine's best choreographers:
- Ukrainian folk dance
- Technique of Ukrainian female and male folk dance
- Workshops on stage combinations and mastering the character dance of various regions of Ukraine
- Barre and centre exercises
- Workshops on scenes and development of choreography
- Training for instructors including the theory and practice of teaching Ukrainian dance
